This model has been announced for some time and has been sold in HK and Philippines for a while now.

Had contacted Samsung SG about a month back but they said they don't know when new products get released in SG (can you believe that?).

Anyway, it's being sold in Malaysia, LTE version is 1099 MYR or SGD 360:

Best part is that it comes w a built in S-Pen.

Who else is interested?

Samsung sg call center is quite hopeless. Anything you cannot find in samsang sg web site probably also means they do not have info on it.

I emailed Samsung Singapore, they still don't have information about launch of these 2 models. Maybe it's not coming to Singapore.

Emailed Samsung Malaysia to check if there is an international warranty. If yes, I may ask my friend to buy.

The S pen seems like can insert in the tablet like the Note series

Design looks good, specs is not bad but not worth $360 lei. Mipad is like $199 or $279 (LTE)

I need the S pen for note taking while using a portable 8 inch device. This is the cheapest device that fits the bill.

8 inch screen is easier to write on... I think by note taking, he may mean like taking down notes during lectures or meetings... a bigger surface definitely helps.

Yup. Using one note to take notes. Or annotating PDF files.

2018 iPad is great for this but it's too big for reading documents for long periods. 2019 iPad mini is the best given 7.9" screen and processor but expensive.

6.4" is too small to be a good document reader + note taking device.

The iPad mini requires you to get the Apple Pencil separately

For me no need as I already have the Apple Pencil from my iPad Pro

Yes, that's why I said the iPad mini would be an expensive option.

So if you want something that's around 8 inch, with pen support, and sub $400, there's only one option now.

Not to forget MiPad too.
