TBH, all these tours is to appease the fans and sponsors, you think players want to travel 24hrs to australia just to play 2 games?

Manchester United are intensifying their plans to find a new technical director, it has been claimed.

The Sun says United are desperate to appoint a technical director in the next two weeks.

Old Trafford chiefs are eyeing candidates to help boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer rebuild his squad.

Club legends Rio Ferdinand and Darren Fletcher have both held talks.

United have struggled to nail down transfer targets, with a bid for Crystal Palace full-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka dragging on.

Club chiefs want help in before a pre-season tour of Australia on July 8.

The new technical director will help complete transfers and pinpoint targets with Solskjaer.

Executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward wants to approve deals rather than be directly involved.
