normal reno is 600... where did you see it for 880?

ps see wrong, thought the screenshot in the post before mine was of normal reno, but is actually the 10x version :o
then again, $850 and $880 not much difference la.

normal reno sold at challenger for $850, really a lot for premium midrange. might as well get pixel 3a/xl.

ooh, i dont go to telcos to see prices because theirs are always high without plan.

Even the official shops I also avoid, because they stick to the MSRP or RRP or whatever P.

no worries...the photos that you uploaded seems pixelated , is it becos of the compression done by the hosting website ?
I didn't attached actual size, not even half the original size, so if you zoom large to see then it will be pixelate.

Checked out some reddit users on Oppo, seems like they dont do much software updates?

XDA doesnt seem very active for Oppo either if I want to load a custom ROM with the latest android OS.

Any feedback? Pretty set on getting this phone already...

Worth to get 10x over normal reno for the price diff?
Just for the processor alone, yes. Not worth getting the normal Reno like what Nakedtoes said, you're better off with the mi9t or k20 pro with 855.

oppo will update their phones, but very sporadically. my mum's oppo a37f just received an update even though it's 2+ years old, but still stuck on lollipop :s13: and the previous update also so long ago le, forget when come. I think their flagship should have better update frequency, but don't hold your breath.

if u are looking to flash custom roms or even root phones, oppo is one oem u should not look at. oppo does not allow bootloader unlock for most of its devices, and thus the development community for oppo devices is generally non existent. flash gsi also cannot. if u really want to root your oppo phone, u have to use the old school shady methods like oneclickroot, kingoroot and all that. also not guaranteed these exploits will work, and even if it does work, u cannot update as that exploit will likely be patched. iirc, oppo also locks down fastboot so patching stock kernel image from magisk then flashing through fastboot won't work either. basically, if u use oppo, u are stuck on coloros with no hope of ever modding it.

I went to AliExpress and got a UK plug Vooc charger for around 9 bucks and use it with my one plus dash charger which is around 4 bucks from AliExpress also. Works the same as the charger in the box.

Oppo has low custom support...
If u reqd frwq uodate of OS or prefer custom, this phone is not for you.

With the same price, perhaps a 1+7pro.
It is fast...and have gcma mod support. Onky grioe is the curve screen

does the fp sensor work well with tempered glass protector?

Just bought a preowned set that came with privacy glass protector and it could not detect the FP settings at all.. removed it and no problem..

Intending to get a glass protector as i always drop my phone.

Also any way to silent when taking a screenshot
