Ok interesting although not sure if these tests are reflective of what’s going on in your engine.

at least help me to avoid the more expensive and yet at the bottom of the list
very interested in trying the amazonbasics but quite unlikely to get in sg

Just use recommended from car manufacturers will do , just a car drive a few years , max 10 years and dispose . Why have to go such into detail .
Manufacturers recommendation won’t go wrong 1
If really particular about performance and engine health , just pump v power only all the way

at least help me to avoid the more expensive and yet at the bottom of the list

go with what is stated in the car manual :s12:
else go with the cheapest or drag it, unless you are handing in your car very soon..

EO is cheap... like spark plugs, change often can already, no need study so much on EO.

30 is lighter than 40 of course more responsive.

depends what application you use the car in. if you have high performance car and always hit high temperatures then you need a higher viscosity oil to protect your engine
