La Liga giants Barcelona have announced they have completed the signing of Antoine Griezmann from Atletico Madrid, and it could spell the end for ex-Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho.

According to reports in Spain the forward will wear the No.7 shirt currently occupied by the Reds' former playmaker.

Coutinho, who made the move from Anfield to the Camp Nou in 2018, initially wore the No.14 before being presented with the number seven.

AS have reported the World Cup winner with France will now occupy the No.7, which could hint at Coutinho's departure after a torrid couple of seasons in Catalunya.

we might have to understand that it's possible for coutinho to make a comeback...

The problem with Coutinho coming back is the way he engineered his exit and the high cost of bringing him back. Barca won't take a big loss on him.

I honestly don't mind taking Coutinho back if the price is right. If anything this is strictly just transfer business during summer. There is little to no chance Barca will be keen on him again even if he does come back and become great once more. Their fans will go crazy.

I wonder if Barca have fully paid up for coutinho

Barcelona still owe Liverpool €93,3M (£88,77M) for Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho. The Spanish club has a net debt of ‘€504M’, the objective in the last years was to reduce the debt to €200M and in reality they have almost double it. [@CuleManias]

Take him back on loan with the option of signing him back next season

Kia Joorabchian, Coutinho's representative, to Sky Sports: "Liverpool lies very deeply in his heart. He's a big fan of them. It would be very difficult for him to go to a direct competitor of Liverpool."
