hi guys! its been a long long time since I went up. thinking to go up during the sep sch hols. any bros know which hotel is better and decent? the new renovated theme park hotel, resort hotel, or maxims? used to use points to redeem resort hotel, would say it is decent, never tried maxims before, and since the theme park hotel have been newly renovated, seems like another option now. will be going with family and kids, and paying cash for the rooms

From best to worst.

#1 Crowfords. #2 Grand Genting #3 Maxim #4 Theme Park/Resort #5 FWH.

So of cos, if you dun mind paying Maxim, then I would say go for it! Be prepared to pay about R700 per night for Maxim.

Which hotel is decent really depends on the individual. Personally, I find FWH superior room decent enough but I have frens who would not stay there even if it's free.

If you are not too picky, FWH is the cheapest. If you prefer a slightly bigger room, then Resort would be a good compromise. If you are going with family and kids, Theme Park Hotel is ideal because of the Quads and Sixers rooms.

Theme Park cost about RM300 a night for Quad. And about RM350 for Sixers. Resort Hotel is also about RM300 a night.

I always go to Gold department where all the big fishes are.
and yes.. Alot of big punters dont sit. They normally run here and there and place the bets in my box.

Hate Gping to the general public place.. Darm irritating when u bet few Ks and aunty come and put 5rm on yr bet. %#!@^^$@$#&$#&$% Or those Aunties will push their boobs onto u to place bets. or those newbie will place 4th bets in the box.

Silver department can sometime be quiet and cold......

🤣🤣🤣...i share yr sentiments, bro. But Gold club now is unlike previous times when it was RM1K/500/300...now so damn smoky and dirty after min bet chg to RM100/50. I like Silver Club for it's peace and cleaner air...u will be surprised it's after midnight n early morning that the place has more ppl...the trends also better during those times...

It also depends on the game that you are playing. Baccarat seems to be the only game I can see a lot of standing punters. 3 Pictures I used to see at the old Star Casino but not so much now. It does not seem as popular nowadays.

The other games like 3 card poker, Genting Poker and Texas 'hold em are hard for standing punters.

I suspect but cannot confirm that even the General Gaming area may have RFID installed. I rem one session I played last year, a lady was placing her bet with me when I was playing 3 card pokers. (It was a min RM50 table and she did not want to bet RM50 per slot) The points I clocked for that session was higher than my usual session. But it could also because the min bet was 50 for that session. :s22:

I heard from my bro-in-law that in the Gold Club room, some games has side bets going on blatantly in front of the gaming staff. I haven't seen it for myself. Has anyone seen this before?

General area tables confirmed n chopped has no rfid sensors fitted...it needs a different support IT system as well...yr experience on spike in GP's is not uncommon...i hv experienced many times b4..

That's due to manual key in of the pit boss supervising the table...he can use his own discretion to manually bump up yr GP's (by default is based on time) if he felt u r betting huge amounts consistently or even if other ppl tumpang on yr box.

U might hv seen some big fish punting huge stacks of purple RM 500 chips each hand. After a few hands, some will just leave the table. Some dun throw cards but if they do even after the game, the pit boss is able to post-register the GP's due to the big punter.

Side bets meaning off table bettings between punters? Yes, tats illegal... mostly done by PRC ladies...or some regular locals as well especially when it comes to betting on "Tie" in baccarat.

FWH is ok. Easy location.

But choose the room with twin sharing.
Single bed room is way too small

The other reason I like gold card was I can peek at card. I only play Baccarat game.. Now gold card is only 100rm! compare to last time 300.
As for smoke. Sit at the non-smoking table. There are few tables there which is non-smoking so not that bad.

To pass time will go play 3 card poker for fun at silver or general public.. Always table empty.

Can give me some clue where to breathe cool air ? I smell cigarette smoke everywhere.

Unless u spend most of yr time in the casinos (pretty common in any casinos as lots of punters are also smokers) - yr statement is inaccurate.

In fact, generally in Malaysia new laws alrdy gazetted & in place for public areas as well as eateries/ kopitiams... perhaps u can indicate specifically where u always breathe in cig smoke?

Ah. OK. That makes sense. Thanks for the info.

Frankly, I never seen the pit boss do that before. Though I see that they do occasionally verified those who have clocked in their card is still present. Must pay attention to this next trip. :)
