Hi I'm thinking of upgrading to the note 9 from my note 5.

I heard that the note 9 prices will drop once the note 10 comes out.

When do you reckon is the best possible time to buy the note 9 to get the best deal?

And from where? Starhub/Singtel? Or from the many online mobile shops in Singapore?

Your advice is much appreciated...

Singtel would be the safest bet but I can’t guarantee you that it’ll be the cheapest price yet. And yes, once the Note 10 comes out the Note 9 prices would hit the final big drop in price. The best time to buy the note 9 is a few weeks after the Note 10 comes out. Because after that the note 9 prices would not drop very quickly anymore.

Depends on if you are getting contract or not.

If you want to get with contract then get from Singtel
Off contract get it from online, will be cheaper

Note 8 is also good

According to Reddit, disabling Intelligent Scan / Iris Scanner / Face Unlock will increase performance. This is a bug that keeps logging in the background.

I did that and geekbench benchmark score almost doubled. I also feel that performance is snappier and seem faster. Battery also seem to be 20% better.

Only affect Exynos devices. You all can try it out.

Yes. I also noticed Exynos is trailing behind benchmarks.. Averages around 9k after disabling face unlock vs Snapdragon with more than 13k..
