According to Reddit, disabling Intelligent Scan / Iris Scanner / Face Unlock will increase performance. This is a bug that keeps logging in the background.

I did that and geekbench benchmark score almost doubled. I also feel that performance is snappier and seem faster. Battery also seem to be 20% better.

Only affect Exynos devices. You all can try it out.

So meaning must use fingerprint/pin/pattern only?
As in, I must disable all 3 you mentioned?
Wonder if this affects battery

Yea only fingerprint and pin/pattern.

Just disable Intelligent Scan, no need to remove Face/Iris data.

I'm getting a lot more screen on time than before. Just gonna tahan without face/iris scan till the bug is patch.

I mean yea that makes some sense. You effective tell the system to not turn on the cameras and sensors to capture data to unlock the phone with those data. Imagine every time your phone screen turns on it fires up those sensors.

You have to also understand that cameras use the most amount of battery among the sensor groups.

If you have the feature like keeping the screen on when you are looking at the device then you can expect your battery to drop when in use.

Now not worth to get Note 9 already

Cannot really say like that.

The price for Note9 already drop quite a lot compared to when it was released.

So if it is within your budget, it is still a worthwhile phone to get if you need the SPen.

Being able to use the Note9’s S Pen as a remote for selfies is really awesome!

Those who don't like to have a hole punch cutout on the screen better snag up a note 9 before 10 comes out.

After Note10 comes out, Note9 will still be available (especially the 128GB version). Price should drop further too.

Like S10 models already out for some time and S9 and S9+ still available to purchase.

I got my note 9 last year during launch so I’m entitled to the free 512 GB upgrade.

Note 9 is still a great phone although I no longer using it.

any reason to get Note 9 over a P30 Pro now, since they're about the same price? Stylus is not important to me.
