I went 2nd interview for DES and received email to go medical. After medical, received email around 2 weeks stating I'm not offered. Any possible reason why? And I was asked to fast before going medical which I did.
You didn't meet their medical criteria lor?

Possibly 2 reasons,

Medical Fail or Security Clearance Fail...

if you did at Parkway Shenton, the Doctor will probably had pre empt you about certain medical condition

Yeap, i did it at parkway shenton. Pre empt me abt certain medical condition? Means ?
They MAY likely tell you what medical conditions may render you not medically fit for ICA. If they don't, doesn't mean such criteria doesn't exist.

The form that we had at Parkway Shenton, the Doctor will indicate as Fit/Unfit at the end. If you have any medical condition, she will circle the unfit part

Any ICA Specialist here can share more about the salary range posted on the ICA website is after all the other additional allowance (after NS, arm, risk etc.)?

Anyway to answer your question, this is based on my salary as a DEI not specialist

The salary that they offered me was within the range given by ICA website. All the NS, arms and risk allowance are already inclusive within the given salary. (The gents salary are generally already higher than the ladies)

However from what we heard from our seniors, there will be a skills/checkpoint allowance after passing out. But I cant confirm on whether this is true at the moment.

Hi guys. Just wanna ask about the 1st interview for DEI. (Document submission, Written assessment & Group discussion exercise trial)

What is the group discussion exercise trial about? And what sort of questions will they ask? Thank you.

The group discussion will be conducted in a group. Due to confidentallity I wouldnt share the exact questions, but generally its a debate style where you have to argue about your stance. No pre peparation is required (or rather can be done).
Also not all DEI will go through this stage, there are several applicants whom did not went for this stage and move straight for psyco test. Its still at a trial phrase ( during my interview back in March ), the results will not have any outcome on the selection process

Try to minimally wear formal pants and shirt as you'll be talking to HR. There are people who were jeans and polo but i guess first impression matters so try to dress the part haha.

How long does it generally take for ICA to reply for DEI application? I tried to find from the thread and it seems like it’s about 1 month to the 1st email.

I’ve submitted on 13 July but yet to get a response. Though the status is still in process. *fingers crossed* but the wait is killing me.

Mine took about 8 weeks before i got a response for the selection assessment. As what most people here mentioned, no news is indeed good news. Good luck!

Don't worry just wait only. After all there is intake every month. To Add on the application is until this year December.

Oh... then more waiting for me. Hope it comes soon. I’m having to constantly remind myself that it’s coming.
