You can try to use the standard/deluxe room check in hack. A standard/deluxe room cost RM 60/70 which is less than a 4 hr daily room.

You can buy 1 for a day before you are to arrive. Close to your date of travel, you can call Genting to inform you are going to be late (IMPT - if you don't call ahead, they will CANCEL your room).

When you arrive at 4 am to 5 am, you then have a place to crash until noon. Assuming you register when you arrive and there was no major event the day bf, you should get your room by 2 pm to 3 pm.

I do something similar but a little different when I take the nite coach.

Instead of booking for the previous nite, I will book the room for the current nite when I arrive. Eg. arrive early morning 28 Aug, I will book the FWH room for 28 Aug.

So when I arrive at Genting ard 3am or so, I will go over to Maxim to pre-register. Then I will go to the casino and play a bit until breakfast. Then do an early check-in and rest in FWH till around noon.

Then walked over to Maxim to check in.

Has anyone done an early check in at FWH, Resort Hotel or TPH recently?

I was just looking at the Genting website and noticed something new. Not sure when they implemented this or if they have started charging.

Early check-in fee

Check-in time................Surcharge (per room)
6am – 9am......................RM20
9am – 12nn.....................RM10
12nn – 3pm.....................RM5

Source: First World Hotel
Resort Hotel
Theme Park Hotel

They must have realised that charging RM5 for check in at 6am is too low. I don't mind paying RM20 if I can get a room at 6am but I doubt it comes with any guarantee.

its getting crowded these days up the mount.
guess what? the cheena n indra make up the most. but i believe sporeans come in no small numbers too! let alone their own locals!

so getting rooms will not be easy henceforth.
i used to be crockford entitled every mth but no longer.
at most i get grand or maxims. still not too bad but after u get a taste there, it somehow became the new standard but i have to upgrade higher which must be crazy!

i only want to enjoy when & where i can and not trapped. i wld rather maintain the local one where less then 20mins i can be seated at a slot machine and get to sleep at hardrock.

btw, anyone here 'sell rooms'? easy? no complications?
i was advised by counter staff not to..but i really got too many.

The theme park already delayed for a few years.

Even if they give a completion date. They will **** it up for sure.

So dont bother.

I was told by one of my Malaysian friends it was delayed due to Fox takeover by Disney. Apparently, they are looking to change certain layout and themes of the park.

If you are traveling with a companion, you can do a de-facto late check out. One of you stays in the room while the other auto check out by dropping off the FWH key. You can then go back and use the room until housekeeping comes along. The same hack also works if you are on a late bus / flight back to Sg.

This is risky. Housekeeping might come quite fast.

I usually make sure I am back in room before 11am. And leave the room only at 1pm. Only can do this at FWH. Resort Hotel they keep coming to knock on door.

Your method is ok but why drop the key ?

Last week I did a pre-registration at 9 plus in the morning and got informed via sms that my room was ready at 5.36pm. It was on a weekday and previous day was full house as well.

5.36pm? :O that’s like way past the standard check-in time, did you made any special requests?

Only requested higher floor and non corner floor. My room was cleaned later than 4 plus in the afternoon the next day as well.

Thought you requested for KL view :s12:

BTW, what is with non corner floor and what's wrong with it?

Not really. It was probably delayed becos Genting sued Fox and Disney for pulling out of an agreement over the theme park.

Recently, they reached a settlement with Disney and Fox over the lawsuit.

I dun think the layout would change much but the use of Fox characters wiil probably be modified. But they have agreed on the licensing of some Fox characters so we will still see them at the theme park.

I dun think it will be called Fox World though.

Yes, the early check in flat RM5 surcharge has been implemented for quite some time now.

But this tiered surcharge is something new.

When I was there in early Jul, it was still RM5 flat. I only noticed the tiered surcharge today when I was checking Genting website.

Once you have established the cutoff point, it is a simple matter of making sure you hit the required number of points. For me, I usually do the bare minimum to get a superior deluxe.

Hmmm what is the bare minimum for Superior Deluxe?
Care to share more information?

Assuming 3D2N, 80 pts and more will confirm get you another 3D2N stay.

50 to 80 pts is not confirm will get 3D2N. They might give you just 1N superior deluxe. You will confirm get deluxe.

I don't have any experience with less than 50 points.

For the avoidance of doubt, you are only talking points from gaming right?

ya it will be renamed and btw if you look down as you view from inside the awana cable ride, you will probably realised that genting on their end also didnt stick to their 10ha commitment for the theme park as claimed by fox.

Yes. The room comp program is run by the casino side. The GP/TP you earn for retail spend is only useful for getting upgraded card status (i.e. to reach the 300 TP to upgrade from silver to gold).

Also they have implemented new rules for room awards. Previously you could get Maxims rooms on a silver card. Now you need a gold card before you are eligible for a Maxims room comp.

The best you can get on a silver card is the World Club room at FWH. I didn't bother to map the points for a World Club room as they are super popular. Hence even if you clock the nec points to get the comp, chances are you won't get a chance to use it unless you book very early.

I consider myself lucky, I manage to get Maxim comp room for weekdays. Silver card holder. 0 TP currently.

I got KL view usually without any request. Actually I prefer the carpark view more. People usually avoid corner rooms to avoid ghostly encounter and long walk in my opinion.

Nope, dont keep receipt.

No intention to take night bus anymore. Reach there too early, and you are taking leftover rooms fron previous day.

If possible, can you check if you still have the receipt or something? :)

Genting My share price has been hit by bad news one after another. New tax, theme park, buying bankrupt company.

Maybe it is durian picking if you play malaysia shares.

I'm one of the few who requested for end/ corner rooms partly bcuz i dislike rooms with connecting doors - it's more quiet. Also luv high floors & non-smoking.

Maxim & GG dun really hv to walk tat far....for Maxim i prefer Mountain view but GG no choice as no direct mountain view, i choose carpark view opposite durian stall n in front if big display screen.

Nothing to do with being lucky, as i said b4 card status has no impact on what type of hotel u get. Not only u, there are many other bro's here who can vouch tat it's very common to get Maxim or even GG tho u r silver only. Bottom line is yr casino activities tat counts - the gp u clocked in yr recent trip.
