Hi all. Is the msi rx5700xt oc mech is good alternative to pulse? Sls can only find the mech now.

Not sure of OC Mech but the Evok has thermal issue due to cutting corners on the thermal pad to save some usd$ and worse is wrong placement of thermal pads, I'll choose Pulse over MSI to be safe...

pulse average cost = 630, while red devil average cost = 699.

$699 is very near the price of RTX 2070 super ($749 for cheapest)..

hard to decide though, cause pulse 2 year warranty vs red devil 3 year warranty.

anyway OOS for pulse

This the one with the middle fan looks like it draws out hot air/exhaust fan rather then the other two which are blowing cool air to the heatsink/intake fans? Kinda curious about the thermal performance of this since it defers from the VEGA64 Gaming OC which has only two fans.

5700xt pulse got stock again.

Was at sls and initially got the shop to take out the Pulse. But after stacking all the items for my new rig on the table to countercheck, at the very last min went for red devil instead.

The reviews were good esp on the thermals and 3 years warranty Vs. 2 years for pulse. For 80 bucks more, I think I can personally stomache that.

I checked Qoo10, not much choices for AIB RX5700 series gpu cards, the Red Devil 5700XT is selling @$719 and i got a weekend $50 cart coupon that can be used on this order, after applying the coupon+delivery fee is $673, using grabpay to pay I can earn 1.5% cash back from credit card and earn 673pts, so net price after 1.5% cash back will be $663. still thinking if I should get or wait for other cards (eg ASUS)?

I feel you don't have to rush in. For a mid tier card, I do feel that 700+ is very pricey, considering that AMD have a higher tendency to slash prices as compared to Intel/ Nvidia.
