thanks! but are bonds safe?

any type of investment is safe if u know what you are doing. if u don't, even FD can be dangerous - excessive prudence can be the most reckless strategy. :D

not me say one hor. :s13:

worry about the downside, not the upside. size your position correctly so that failed investments do not kill u. spend time to learn, analyse and research. trust no one with your hard earned money except your ownself. if got no time to learn, analyse and research...best to stick with savings, FDs and SSBs. :)

With every 10k in the Maybank FD need $1,000 in the CASA, locked for the same period. So minimum is $22,000 needed for this 'promotion' :s22:

Thanks lzydata. So it is maybank 9 months FD at 2.1%. However there is this remarks "With minimum $2k in Maybank Current or Savings accounts".

Think Maybank is you have to put 10% in saving account, also they pay the interest out front. Average is not too bad. Especially if your age already reach 55 as saving account interest also higher.

Yes, current offer is 2.1% for 9 months. Minimum 20K.

What is the interest on the 10% that must put into the savings account ah? I don't see on their website.
