The Mortar Max has a Ryzen 3000 ready BIOS. The Mortar probably needs a BIOS update.
Local stocks mb very limited sigh . I suspect they deliberately wanna push up prices or force you to buy their expensive bundles.
Do MSI offer international warranty for mb ? Probably gonna buy mb and cpu in amazon or newegg during bf sales but worried about the warranty

Singapore market is very small and with small volume manufacturer don't even wanna hiu u. Can be first few to launch is not bad liao. U want fast want cheap go buy online overseas without warranty. Better for yourself and better for local supplier who have to hear these type of accusation without knowing what's going behind the hard work of negotiating with small volume high overhead in sg. Not in a computer hardware industry in case another accusing occur.
32GB or 16GB kit? Try 3600 @ 16-20-20-56 1T. Worked for my 32GB kit.
32GB.
With latest bios now my XMP profile is stable (previously wasn't and hence why i was spending the time to tweak) :/ guess growing pains. might wait abit more then try tweaking more.
I also have the 32GB kit. Works great at 3600 16
Found something interesting. Need to get rams with Samsung B-Die .
https://premiumbuilds.com/ram/best-ram-for-ryzen-3000/
B Die is expensive and rare in SG unless you are going to get from overseas like newegg.
Hynix CJR and Micron E is also overclockable and cheaper.
The new Gigabyte 5000Mhz DDR4 sticks use Micron.
GOT 5000 MHZ memory?
Windows 10 version 1909 performance will get boost with favored cores

looking at MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC and MSI B450 Tomahawk Max for the 3600. i'm leaning towards getting the pro carbon but i realise the ram support is only up to 3466 MHz. was reading this https://premiumbuilds.com/ram/best-ram-for-ryzen-3000/ and am actually not quite sure which 16gb ram to be getting anymore.
also seems like sls shops are carrying only cl16 rams for the 3200mhz. appreciate any advice thanks!
DDR4-3200 CL16 is fine.
DDR4-3200 CL14 or DDR4-3600 CL16 is best but you are looking at double the price. No point paying for these unless you are running a 3900X/X570 combo and want to squeeze out those few % point gains.
right so just go for the cheapest ddr4-3200 cl16 then. even though its 3200mhz i still wont be able to know if xmp would let me reach 3600mhz for sure right?
