this japanese band really impressed me

not sure if ive posted this before, ive a short term memory on my online activities.
i was at the record shop the other day and was talking to a metalhead on the lack of aussie metal / hardcore bands. he said yeah they have pretty much gone underground and most of them if they do play, they perform a cities pretty far from where we are. then we spoke of black metal and he referred me to Striborg. 1 man black metal, dark syn/ ambient, drone metal band from tasmanian.
i was pretty surprised to see a artist with dark ideas from tasmania, given that northern europe has hectures of forest, less sun exposure and short days, i would expect most black metalist are from there. i guess there will also be exceptions.

sadly grunge era were short lived
not sure if Soundgarden were the last band to record an album under this genre

STP? but imo they're not that grunge-y enuff

or maybe there are from those unknown bands

Grunge was not just about the sound, it's a whole package of Seattle, flannel shirt etc

For me it's Dinosaur Jr, Mudhoney, Smashing Pumpkins

All still recording
