Rockchip has recently upgraded an old high end octa-A53-coreCPU RK3368 (2015/2016) to RK3368Pro, mainly to include USB3.0 and add Android 9 support. I think they add this CPU probably as a midway CPU between their low end RK3328 and high end RK3399, in order to complete with Allwinner H6, Amlogic S912 and Amlogic S905X2. Still I think Amlogic is still ahead now they have the S905X3 on the mid end. Amlogic also has the S922X on the high end to compete with RK3399.
Rockchip has also the RK3318, a low cost version of RK3328 with the same feature sets.
Allwinner has also the H603 CPU which seems to be a new revision of H6 but suffers from the same thermal problem.

Still I would not recommend buying boxes with Rockchip RK3318/3328/3368Pro or Allwinner H6/H603 CPU now. Amlogic S905X/S905X2/S905X3 boxes are still the way to go. Xiaomi Mi Box S is using the old S905X CPU which is still fine thanks to the official Android TV OS software. S905X2 based boxes have very good performance and very good thermal performance. S905X3 is new but the performance should be pretty decent as well (do not buy now, wait a while when it goes to mainstream).
I always think there are no good reasons to buy RK3399 or S922X based boxes but I know there are many reviewers like them due to the good raw CPU performance. Still if you really want best performance, buy NVidia Shield TV.
