right so just go for the cheapest ddr4-3200 cl16 then. even though its 3200mhz i still wont be able to know if xmp would let me reach 3600mhz for sure right?

That's not what XMP means.

Technically 3200 is already an "overclock" over the base 2133, and XMP is a "pre-filled overclock" to 3200.

For your RAM, use the Ryzen DRAM calculator.

ah right 3200mhz is already the xmp profile now i feel stupid. sounds like
a pain probably will just get 3200mhz and leave it as it is without trying to manual overclock to 3600mhz.

Just overclock your infinity fabric to 1800 is already good

White only Ballistix 3200 2 X 16gb kit is now nicely priced on Amazon Prime app.

Ballistix sport LE? I am using same one, but 16GBx2. it can run 1866(3733MHz) CL16, here is my parameter:
CL 16, RCD_RD 20, RCD_WR 19, RP 18, RAS 38, RC 82, WR 26, RRDS 6, RFC 653, RFC2 485, RFC4 299, FAW 28
others all auto.
vDIMM I set to 1.38v, but my Gigabyte MB seems will add extra 0.02v, as I can see in hwInfo it's 1.40v
Found some time today to play with the rig again, now running DDR4-3600 16-19-16-36-58, stock 1.35V.

Haven't done much heavy tasking but seems stable so far in running GSAT/Linux.

Up to 1.45V recommended for overclocking... still considered safe?
