why need both 2.0 and 3.0? 3.0 is backward compatible.

shield tv is the best tv box, why change?

it is easy to customize, if you don't know how to do it, you can customize any other box.

I use keyboard mouse combo Dat uses USB dongle. Put it on usb 3.0 slot, some function didn't work like volume up n some letters. Read some info say dat the dongle can interfere with the wifi or any external hd. N also the dongle can somehow spoil the usb 3.0 port

on internet forum, anyone can say anything, some are false information (including mine).

I think those highlighted in red are jokes.

most USB 2.0 device will have no problem playing in PC or TV having USB 3.0 sockets but there is always some old device that are not fully complying with the USB 2.0 standard. Guess that is the reason why some PC and TV manufacturers are providing both 2.0 and 3.0 sockets

Software is the key. Quality is another factor as well.

If you need Netflix HD and built-in Chromecast function, you basically have very limited choices, only official Android TV OS devices have those two features. And Mi Box S and Nvidia Shield TV are the most popular official Android TV OS device.

Apps like TVB Anywhere+ only supports Android TV OS device. SingTel TV Go, SingTel Cast also work on Android TV OS device. Usually you will not get these apps working properly on other device like the Beelink.

You may want to read some of my posts in Page 94 to get more info.

Techradar review

Specifications are pretty good with high end S922Z CPU, Gigabit LAN, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, Netflix 4k.

Review is pretty positive. It is also listed as No 2 in the Chigz Tech Android TV box chart, only behind Nvidia Shield TV.

https://www.cnx-software.com/2019/10/17/rockchip-rk3368pro-tv-box-usb-3-0-hdr/

Rockchip has recently upgraded an old high end octa-A53-coreCPU RK3368 (2015/2016) to RK3368Pro, mainly to include USB3.0 and add Android 9 support. I think they add this CPU probably as a midway CPU between their low end RK3328 and high end RK3399, in order to complete with Allwinner H6, Amlogic S912 and Amlogic S905X2. Still I think Amlogic is still ahead now they have the S905X3 on the mid end. Amlogic also has the S922X on the high end to compete with RK3399.

Rockchip has also the RK3318, a low cost version of RK3328 with the same feature sets.

Allwinner has also the H603 CPU which seems to be a new revision of H6 but suffers from the same thermal problem.
https://androidpctv.com/review-x96h-opinion/

Still I would not recommend buying boxes with Rockchip RK3318/3328/3368Pro or Allwinner H6/H603 CPU now. Amlogic S905X/S905X2/S905X3 boxes are still the way to go. Xiaomi Mi Box S is using the old S905X CPU which is still fine thanks to the official Android TV OS software. S905X2 based boxes have very good performance and very good thermal performance. S905X3 is new but the performance should be pretty decent as well (do not buy now, wait a while when it goes to mainstream).

I always think there are no good reasons to buy RK3399 or S922X based boxes but I know there are many reviewers like them due to the good raw CPU performance. Still if you really want best performance, buy NVidia Shield TV.

Hi

m kinda new here. Looking for a good quality IPTV/android box to watch EPL/Champs league etc with movie channels.

What would be the best box with HD quality pics to buy?

Buy Mi Box S and subscribe to SingTel Cast Sports pack. That is the leagal way I know of. Or you can subscribe to SingTel TV.

As for other TV boxes with pre-loaded apps, they will not last long. EPL is also actively blocking apps and websites.

And actually this forum supposedly does not allow topics like this.
