Good suggestion to categorise them. But the ones I’ve listed have packages for different countries.

Airalo seems good. Glad I didn’t opt for eSim from M1. Can utilise this instead when I’m overseas, no need to touch that sim tray at all.

Exactly. I thought M1’s data passport was good but it’s still expensive compared to Airalo.

That funny looking word is the name of the package for Malaysia. Click on the picture of the plan you’re interested in. The telco will be indicated at the bottom. For Malaysia, I see that it’s UMobile.

Can I ask a question? Never used esim before. Can you turn off the esim (not remove it) when not needed? I can do that with physical sim.

Koped my post from the other eSIM thread and I’m using Yoodo when I travel to Malaysia. :s13:

I’m currently using Yoodo as recommended by someone else here too. It’s like a virtual telco and piggybacking on CELCOM.

Yoodo by Celcom Mobile Sdn Bhd
https://apps.apple.com/sg/app/yoodo/id1324469029

Btw here is my invitation code, and you can get free RM20 too: https://app.yoodo.com.my/assets/index.html#friendInvitation?code=pjqii9147

So just use the current M1 SIM card or any other telco physical Sim and keep the eSim for overseas with airalo?

Hi all, I am using iphone 11 pro and I am using physical SIM card now, I would like to know do I need to activate esim from local carrier or I just need to purchase esim online and scan the QR code and I can use the esim when I go overseas?

Only M1 got eSim option right? iPhone with esim slot cost more... I wonder when iPhone will have 5G.

The ones I’ve listed can be purchased overseas. They’ll send you a QR code.
