Indirectly, I found something not too far off. JPMorgan offers a unit trust called the "U.S. Aggregate Bond Fund." It's a fund that invests in investment grade U.S. corporate bonds. The prospectus says at least 2/3rds of the bonds are U.S. federal government backed, typically federal government agency bonds. It's a feeder unit trust into a Luxembourg-based fund, which is tax appropriate for non-U.S. persons. The expense ratio is 1.10%, which is "less worse" than other choices. ("Welcome to Singapore." )
1) This is a TERRIBLE IDEA. You're betting on FX. You have absolutely no advantage in FX markets. Don't do this.
2) If you must do it, just fire up your Interactive Brokers account and buy a bunch of USDSGD.
