Guys, with this steep cut in rates (and at such short notice :s8:), is 30 Nov (Sat) or 2 Dec (Mon) the best time to move our funds out?

ya i'm also uncertain, cos i noticed that for this month, they credited the bonuses on 1 Nov morning even though it's dated 31 Oct..

like that better move on 2 Dec...

on another note, anyone who enrolled for top up promotion in July received their reward?

i was supposed to receive mine by end Oct but didn't. Asked RM to check then was told that all who topped up in July will have their reward delayed til end Nov. Really lousy...

Seems like can still can go up to 12 counters?

So, usual interest for those at max counter would be around:
0.5 x 1.8% + 1.2% = 2.1%

Not as good as previously but still better than some options available...no?

No, max bonus interest will be 0.6%, not 1.2%

Macdonald branch citibank closing next year FEB 2020.
Sooner or later, citibank will uplorry.
Now do this stun on maxigain acc. Sure many jump ship.

I guess this thread will die off after december.

Yes, if 10 of us move out 100k, already 1 million gone and I believe there will be many more moving out funds.

Same also interested to know more. Probably rotate iSAVvy and iSAVvy-i or iSAVvy with Esaver or CIMB fixed deposit or ICBC fixed deposit ?

but if close the acc..

1 year later they may revert back the interest rate to the old ?

then would have to build up the counters again..

rooks like there is no more min 70k to earn base interest.. so contemplating mybe worth it to keep 15k in it..

would probably lose around 2% (esaver/isavvy ~interest rates) - 1.5% = 0.05% interest on 15k = which is only $75 a year

after all esaver/isavvy may not keep their rates at ~2% forever too, it may also gradually revise downwards till 1.5% esp after fed rate cut

70k min requirement for base interest is still there

Good while it lasted. Hahas got 3k interest from Citibank. Guess they cant keep up with the interest rates...

Alternatively I maybe transferring to DBS Multiplier for the first $50k. And $20k to SCB Jumpstart 2%.

Any more alternatives for >2% interest?
