my place have both routers, difference between speed for me is around 660mbps on my iPhone 11 Pro max on RT-AC86U, if I connect to AX88U on wifi6, then my speed on my iPhone 11 Pro max is around 800mbps. Around 140-200mbps difference, depends on whether your device can support. If you got extra cash or want future proof, go wifi6, if u just want smth good and fast, 86u no horse run really ...:s13:

Thanks for the feedback.

Yes, I read up about it. The spec template for wifi6 standard is out but not officially launch. Vendors just making routers based on the spec sheet and further improve them later with firmware updates. Like the bro say unless u wanna future proof then go wifi6. So I guess the bottom line is, if ur current infrastructure of ac86u being the top dog is still insufficient, then a complete overhaul to ax would be the next step. For me I guess not yet as currently only 2 iPhones 1tv 1pc in the house. Will stick to the free netgear from vq for the moment.

Hi Charlie,

How do I use the taobao to send to Singapore?
I mean when i click buy, it say the item cannot be send to singapore address.

Regards Wayne

wa damn impressed with this clip-on $7 tiong-made cooler from taobao..

powered by only one fan with adjustable speed which is almost silent on full power. starting I hear the fan speed I thought sure gg waste money + there's a sponge filter inside to trap dust..

after 15mins I check the temp and it went down from 78°c to 60°.. and the location of my router is in sightly above room temp under the wall mounted tv in the living room.

guys, need some opinion here.

I have 2 Portal Wifi router which has been causing intermittent disconnect especially when watching IPTV. Couldnt get it to work properly even after factory reset.

Am looking at Asus Aimesh as an alternative replacement.

I live in a 5rm flat. Should i go for 1xAC86U + 1xAC68U? Or 2 xAC68U?

I seems to me the difference on 86U is higher ram, processor and download speed on but being on a 1GB fibre plan, i feel perhaps 68U is already sufficient.

I am actually considering 2x68U becos theres a lot selling at lower price in carousel.

Any opinion or advice is appreciated. I just wana use a single SSID without having to switch signal when i move from one part of the house to another.

My house setup has android tv box, hi-fi, TV all wired to my router now and all rooms has LAN point in them.

Unless limited budget, I would recommend ac86u x2. Ac68u is a bit old already unless you can one at a good price.

Your mesh experience will be quite good since you can link the 2 units via data points
