Items such as Asus router is cheaper in Amazon US compare to Amazon SG. Am I overlooking some hidden cost ?

if you're considering export set, they can be quite a bit cheaper than local sets (even after coupons/vouchers included or even flash deal)

ebay, amazon, even taobao has pretty reliable sellers too

1) As mentioned, no hardware warranty
2) The units maybe hard coded to FCC limits of 5.7-5.8 Ghz Freq. limited channels that you can use.
