RTX 2060 Super or RX 5700 XT - I'm looking at either of these 2 to replace my GTX 970. as the price is around the same, which one will be a better option. Budget not more than $650.

RX 5700 XT more value compare with price vs performance.

Get a rx 5700 with a good cooler and bios mod to make it a 5700 xt.

will modding 5700 to 5700 xt void the warranty?

when you want to rma the card you need to flash back stock bios.(not sure if they are able to track you flashed before anot)

but suay suay cant revert back then gg.

imo not really worth it to flash for a expensive card. unless the card u used 2years then ill consider flashing to boost its performance.

i dont think 10-20% not guaranteed performance worth the risk, thats why its not very common practice ppl will want flash a gpu , most ppl is flash their mobo bios.

Which ever is cheaper

But looking at the next 2 years, and if you're going to keep the card for that duration or longer, amd.

Just look at rdr2. rx5700 is faster than 2060s. rx5700xt is on par or faster than 2070s

heck even the r580 is almost a gtx1070. it'll probably get worse for nvidia next year when the next gen consoles and games launches

Just letting you know that's a regular 2070, not 2070 super. The model is called 'super jetstream'.

The 5700 xt sapphire pulse is at 609. You missed the 9am sale at 589, but 609 is still a respectably good price.

For the 5700 xt, I'll recommend the value (pulse, gigabyte) or the powerhouse (red devil, nitro+)

thanks for the info, missed out on all the sales and in the end, made a trip to tradepac and got a powercolour red dragon.
