Qn. If current M1 contract ends 15 Dec. If not to incur penalties. Apply port over on 16 Dec?
But will M1 charge a one or two day service until port over new teleco completed ?
Thanks

Always select SIM delivery date the day after end of your current contract date.

Yeah that happened to me too. Plus also cannot send/receive MMS. Super bummer!

Mvno all cannot send and receive mms too. Dont think they want to support it since most people send pictures via whatsapp. I still use mms though since it's free.

didn't know that singtel do not have it anymore. My MyRepublic line also offers miss call notification
Singtel stop providing miss call notification in Sep/Oct 2019. I know myrepublic have, but heard there is delay in receiving otp. If that's true, then will not consider using as my main line...

GOMO IS NOT PREPAID.

If you are not sure, please put a disclaimer....

False news, when spread, creates panic....

So many Postpaid users PORTED OVER to GOMO.
Postpaid CANNOT port to Prepaid.

Prepaid CANNOT DIRECTLY port to Postpaid.

lol what an easily triggered fellow.

GOMO is definitely a prepaid plan.

Simple English. You pre pay first then you get the service. There is no excess charge for GOMO.

If you are from a prepaid Singtel, you need to convert to SIM Only first then can go GOMO.

As to why can port from GOMO to others, I don't know. That's why I put "I think ..." in my statement.

For me, myrepublic has improved quite good. I dont have delay so far. My main line is still M1, which I just re-con to $15/mth plan.

MyRepublic's OTP is mostly swift, as long as the APN is configured correctly.

You yourself explained.

Anyway, I'm not triggered. I saw your post just when you posted. Took a long while before I replied. Esp when I see Panic users quoting:
""GOMO is Prepaid!!! Ah""

Like in TPG thread, why they so Panic always asking ""When Free Trial Will End.""

It will end when TPG put up notice....

Anyway, have a good day... dreamy cooling Monday.

Hi all,

GOMO is considered a postpaid service.

Hope this clarifies.

Thanks.

For me I signed m1 coz my workplace starhub no signal then singtel will detect Malaysia network, my colleagues kena auto/data roaming unknowingly before coz they never set hp to manual network search.

Also previously I halfway into contract then come out cheaper plan and m1 let me do early recontract without any penalty but have to restart the contract date which I think is fair enough.

Con is load gif in this forum will take ages.. :(

If GOMO was a prepaid plan, then you should be able to port a prepaid number into it, but you can't. It has to be converted into a postpaid SIM only plan.

Yes by your logic GOMO is "pre"paid, but that's not what people are talking about when they ask if GOMO is prepaid or not.

Can giga do carrier video calls too? Meaning video calling by calling the person via mobile number.

I guess running Google Duo isn't native video calling? Too bad my OnePlus 5 dialer app's video calling button leads straight to Duo app.

Google Duo is just like skype and whatsapp video call.

The carrier direct video calling takes into account of your allocated number of minutes in your monthly plan. Direct video calling does not require any Data or wifi. But too bad, some phone already do not support it. Samsung phone still can.
