More affordable to maintain a jap car than a conti car as I intend to drive for the full 10 years

that will really depends on what you after. 6 is a good car but underpowered if u referring to the 2.0.
3 is way more better to drive in terms of handling. 6 if you need the bigger space?

Maybe purchase price is just 10k upfront, must remember other costs difference too like insurance, road tax and maintenance. If these doesn’t bother you and you wanna have a bigger rear seat and boot, then Mazda 6 is the obvious choice..

mazda 6 bigger size if fetching family
if only u and wife can try m3 2.0 Hatchback can mod till like gti

6 but i am not big fan of big cars and my family nucleus doesn't call for 1.. so 3

Depends on trim. When you say 10K are you comparing the highest end trim of Maz3 to Low end of Maz6? Because I'm sure highest end trims of both models is beyond $30k difference.

Maybe most ppl can't tell 3 or 6.
Only know by conti or sushi.
