We now have a crop of players who are all decent all round footballers, better in their own main position/area of course, but otherwise good players. But they don't excel. They don't actually have a specialty.
Unlike Wolves, who in all their games, play counter-attacking and relying on the strength of that AdamaTraore rugby player and speed of RaulJimenez. But could we do anything about it? No. It was oh so easy for them to get the ball and bring it all the way from their own third to our third and cause some panic. This is like how teams used to know DavidB would always cross, but could they do anything about it? We don't have players with that kind of exploitable skills/traits. Don't have wingers who can cross, and don't have fullbacks who are threatening even if they head up.
I do think some of our players are lazy, or just plain low anticipation. They can stand and react only when a team mate loses the ball and bounces off the opposition player before reacting to that.
Was kinda frustrating to watch.
