Why bother with Singapore broker?

FT Saxo,IBR,etc broker charging $4 per trade for Naq,NYSE etc.

Agree. Only advantage I see with Singapore borkers is CDP (central depository) which theoretically is more safe than e.g. HSBC and Citibank which are used as a custodian of Saxo.

BUT CDP comes with an extra cost...

So I agree with you, I personally trade using Saxo which is low cost and good interface (which most local brokerages also lack).

Their 'Platinum' account is the cheapest for foreign markets.

Although Phillips securities trying to match prices with their 'Cash Plus acc' with their $6.88 fee for US trades.

Enough of overcharge Sinkie brokers.
