That’s not correct. Fixed deposits involve a time lock, and you’re rewarded to some extent for honoring that lock. The best fixed deposits are running several basis points ahead of the best money market funds.

...and is low risk.
Well managed, conservative money market funds are relatively low risk, but fixed deposits at or below the SDIC coverage limit are definitely lower risk.

So in Singapore, how to proceed to look for a good money market funds?
Which do you prefer?
I don’t prefer any of them since Singapore dollar money market funds are “tax toxic” to U.S. persons like me. However, for those of you who aren’t in that position and who want a Singapore dollar money market fund, LionGlobal’s looks pretty good. I don’t think very many people need them, though.
