Hi all, I'll be going on a solo trip to taiwan from 25th Apr to 15 May. I plan to do a round island trip, fly in and out from Taipei. May I know if it's feasible and any suggestions on where to go? I'd like to explore the countryside and more interested in nature etc.

The list is interesting places most in the natural settings around Taiwan. You can contact David for suggestions regarding hotel booking, charter car service, and …etc. He can plan an itinerary to meet your needs. 21 days shiok! It's possible to do a round island trip, need a lot of planning.
1st decide your route then decide which town you going to visit.
Most of the places can be access by train and bus. Only few places more ulu, will be more difficult for solo as transport is limited.

You can list out the town/place you want to go here, we can help you to revise.
Enjoy your planning.

Haha, actually more like 16 days, I forgot to mention that I'll be staying in taipei for around 4-5 days because my dad's taiwanese and he wishes for me to spend some time to visit relatives around taipei while I'm there since I haven't seen then for a long time. I'll also be spending the first couple days there with a friend who has offered to bring me around. Theoretically I'll have a little more than 2 weeks for myself.

I'll recommend camping overnight at Shitiping.

Round island don't need a lot of planning. Both times I did (round island), I didn't plan at all. Arrived with no accommodation pre-booked. Everyday see arrive where then find place to stay.

Don't really plan on doing any camping, left my tent back in aus with my gf :s13:
Would you mind sharing your itinerary? Seems really interesting to go there without plan but I'm someone that enjoys the planning process :s12:

Me too. No planning mean lot of time wasted in finding thing to do, where to go next and how to go. Just experience this during my Jan-Feb holiday, detour from hat yai to penang. Luckily I rem there is a hot air balloon event.

In that case, you can skip some places that have nothing much to do.
