Hi do you guys manage to secure the Job?
You applied for SO or JO?
You applied for SO or JO?
Hi Wonderwomen09,
Don’t really know how their intake is but I heard they combined the inspector and sergeant together for similar course and those inspectors will have 5 days leadership training.
Hi Jav,
Any update?
Hey Wonderwomen09,
Nope still waiting for them to call.
I guess reading from past comments from other people in the forum, it’s a process of waiting for them to contact you for the second round. If everything in first round is ok I believe they should be emailing us soon for the panel interview.
Thank you.
Hi Jav,
I hope the outbreak not gonna affecting our panel interview. So many corporate sector postpone their interview after the outbreak. Hope for the best mate!
Hi Wonderwomen09,
Yes what we can do is hopping for the best.
Let’s keep each other updated on this.
Cheers.
Hi Jav,
My career.gov shows status as SHORTLISTED

Another guy who came with me said *his showed as PROCESSING. How about your.
Please share.
Thank you
Hi, hope to clear some doubts for others so this is my timeline for DEI application:
4/11/2019 - Applied on Careers@Gov
3/12/2019 - Application Status changed to shortlisted and received email and SMS to go for Doc Submission
9/12/2019 - Went for Doc Submission and did MCQ personality test
16/1/2020 - Received call, email and SMS to go down for Panel interview
20/1/2020 - Went for Panel Interview.
Currently waiting for interview results. I think every stage takes around one month so I would advise interested candidates to apply early.
Hi Spongebobz,
I have the same timeline too, may I ask if you have received any updates from ICA yet?
Thanks!!
Hi Melissa94,
Yes I did. I'll repost my DEI application timeline again for clarification:
4/11/2019 - Applied on Careers@Gov

9/12/2019 - Went for Doc Submission and did MCQ personality test
16/1/2020 - Received call, email and SMS to go down for Panel interview
20/1/2020 - Went for Panel Interview.
30/1/2020 - Received email to go for pre-employment medical screening at Parkway-Shenton Clinic and the clinic will call me to arrange the med appointment date and time
31/1/2020 - Clinic called and proposed some dates for the checkup so I just chose the one that was the most convenient for me. (For ladies, try arrange on a date which you are at least 6-8 days before/after your period start/end date as they will take urine test and ask for your period date and if it's too near, they will ask u to come back again to just do the urine test which is very mafan.)
24/2/2020 - Went for medical checkup and they took my blood pressure, height and weight, blood test, urine test, chest xray, ECG, test my eyesight (no contacts and rmb to bring glasses) and hearing before ending with a doc consultation on all your med result. Total check up duration is around 2hrs. I had some issues with my ECG and spine so I need to head to NHCS and Mount E for specialist check up within March 2020.
I'll end my timeline here cos further med chkup testing varies from person to person so mine might be longer than others. Sorry for the long-winded explanation. Will update again (if i don't forget) on my timeline when all my med tests are done
Hey Wonderwomen09,
Same it’s still show Shortlisted as the status.
Thank you.

1) is not a certainty that you will be acceptedThanks for the general timeline! very informative.
I have some general questions for everyone.
1)I just have the screening call for the ICA inspector this week and status changed to 'shortlisted'.
The guy told me results would be out next week if i will proceed for panel interview which coincide with what you said...The process seems very long even after that. At which point do you know that you are confirmed? Is it after the panel interview, or after medical test? Since i might have other job offer that i might take first, so i'm pretty unsure also
2) The starting pay is 3.6 to 4k plus, does anyone knows how the increment goes? what kind of pay increment can one expect yearly? in 30s, can it reach 5k? There seems to be a lack of information on pay when later on in the career

last statement also depends on the individual whether anyhow spend. The application process may be entirely different now due to the circuit breaker in place but in general you will only be confirmed upon receiving the email stating that you have an offer. Like what the naked devil said, there is no guarantee that you will get in even if you attend the medical exam because people fail for all sorts of reasons.
As for the pay thing, most ministry jobs are pretty tight-lipped about the pay so unless you have a friend in service or someone willing to share that info on a public forum, you are pretty much out of luck. The general consensus is that you will not need to worry no house stay, no food eat, no car drive if in uniformed service

When did u apply for the job? Just wanted to know how long it takes for them to shortlist you. Applied for DEI for more than 1 month already But still “in process” for me.
My friend applied in early march and only got the invitation for phone interview abt 3 or so weeks later
Due to this economy it is expected more people will try to sign on so you can expect an even longer wait
Most of the previous timelines will not be accurate alr
I think it's bcuz of the covid situation, i had an upcoming phone interview as wellIs the phone interview something new? What about the doc submission/written test?
