Are people back in the buffet? Still scared la.

It was full house at The Melt last Saturday

But according to one of the managers, it was because of the HSBC promotion, else the normal weekday crowd is very thin

Had dinner at Beach Road Kitchen as we had a voucher to use. Less variety than before, especially at the live station, and replenishment was slow. Hope it is just due to the current virus situation. Favourite item was the asian style crepe with gula melaka and coconut.
I went last night buffet dinner, also cos to clear off vouchers.

Was there from 630pm-830pm, I counted no more than 30 diners for the whole restaurant. Same observations as tomb, reduced variety from normal, especially at the cold cuts / charcuterie section, and the pizza oven live station at the middle. In fact the pizza chef by 730pm already disappeared just leaving 2 pizzas on the counter for the rest of the night.

I guess expensive buffets are the most badly hit of the f&b's this coronavirus season.

Plz do field report on whether it is ho jiak. :s12:

Just tried the lunch ytd. Its okay. Definitely value for money cos $25 nett per pax, you get pretty decent salmon sashimi, prawns on ice (nicer if you try into the hotpot) n grilled saba fish. Pizza n 1 or 2 other stuff also okay. Rest of food not so nice. A lot of deep fried stuff. If not so choosy, then got a lot of stuff to eat. But if a bit more choosy, then end up just whacking those few items nia. My friend basically just eating salmon, saba, salmon, saba nia ...

Drinks n dessert all included. No time limit n stuff, so its definitely a good promo unlikely some places which offer promos, then restrict time and/or dun include drinks/reduce items etc.

Very crowded too. Went there abt 1127am n waited abt 5 mins to be seated.

The staff said that weekend dinner will have crabs as well as beef/chicken carving etc.

Overall, din really enjoy due to the crowd n so so food, esp lack of nice meaty dishes. Just feel its okay meal. Not sure if i will be returning. Will rather pay more n go to a k bbq or something for a meat pig out ... :)

Hi all , just a review on The Fullerton Hotel 1-1 DBS lunch promo which is only valid on Monday or Thursday ( lunch or dinner)

We reached at 12:45 pm for lunch and the roast duck was already finished. The theme was “international buffet” but I feel that the subject was very much local as there is the likes of chicken rice, laksa, nasi lemak. There is a section with Japanese sashimi and sushi (maki and roll) cold food section has fresh tiger prawns, clams, mussels. Small selection of desserts (so-so)
Complimentary parking is only available with min spending of $100
Service is very good - refill of cold/warm water. Black tea/coffee available (upon request?)
Total bill for 2 pax including GST : $69
