me back from taipei today!
well the hostel was a bit out of my expectations, very small backpackers' place. it's only S$25 for a room for 2, however the room is only the size of the double bed (!) & common toilet look like those old old type with lizards lurking around. only recommend if u r on very strict budget
anyway i moved to Flowers Hotel (opp Taipei Rail Station) on the 2nd day, must say that that area is really good!
it's a hangout for young pp so got a lot of cheap food stalls/restaurants/cd shops, even got this kmall (sells digital goods) & Jap dept store (Xin Guang San She). Nearby is a bookshop street with abt 4-5 bookshops.
