I would not say it is better than Huawei AX3 Pro (RMB329 or around S$66) which is AX3000 rated, higher than Redmi AX5's AX1800.

Taobao is one way to buy for AX5. I am waiting for my Huawei AX3 Pro from Taobao.

Are these Huawei and Mi routers still having Chinese UI? Are the default settings ideal to avoid having to deep dive into the UI? I guess just setting up the SSID and security should be easy enough. What about the rest of the settings? Thanks

I feel ax5 /ax1800 should drop price to 200rmb and lower to match hwawei ax3 pro.
Else its doesn't make sense to buy them at 250rmb while ax3 pro cost only 300rmb.

Redmi AX5 is now selling at RMB219 to RMB229 in Taobao, seems to be reasonable price.

Xiaomi AX1800 will be more expensive than Redmi AX5 due to the market segment and the design is nicer.

Huawei AX3 is not recommended as the main router due to thermal issues (probably okay as an AP or Mesh with AX3 Pro).
