Hi all, thinking to change to LED headlights..

Saw a few brands on shoppe and carousell.

Any advice which one or types is better? Any thing i should look out for?

As the prices are different as well.

If your car doesn’t have projector lens and just a normal halogen reflectors , do every road user a favour and stick to normal halogen bulbs.

Agreed. It's so glaring when they are driving behind us at night. It's like high beam when it's not.

Sorry.. How to check? Noob here.. :o:o

I maybe wrong..

there is a diffuser lens in front of the bulb...

This is to prevent the glare onto the car in front...

my car has a beam leveler....can adjust the height of the beam

Get proper bulbs which are slim and have small led chips. Go research properly before buying.

Those follow stock beam pattern quite accurately.

This. Not to mention you might fail inspection as well...

Actually very easy , just look at your headlight from the front , if you see a “lens” that looks like a convex magnifying glass covering the bulb, then that is projector lens. If you look at the headlight and can straight away see the bulb, then those are normal halogen reflectors.
Projector lens focus the beam to appropriate level that won’t blind the other road users eyes.
Reflectors just disperse the light in all directions, not so much a problem when using stock halogen bulbs coz the Color temp is warm . This is why when you enter into a tunnel the first lights are always warm Color, also why street lamps are mostly warm. (But this is changing)

Be prepared to change every 6 months. These bulbs do not last. I’ve used HIDs LEDs with and without ballast both in headlamps and fog lamps. 4 bulbs take turns to spoil. But that’s last time technology. Not sure about now.

Yes, every 6 mths need to change for my last ride, luckily under warranty and since discard the ride.
Currently set, replaced last August in Jb, still working well.
Took out and changed to stock bulb due to recent inspection. :s13::s13:

Heat is big issue for those OEM LED headlights, some use a small fan but worse, fan is the on give way first.
