yikes 3700x dropped another dollar today now at $389

Have to take into consideration. The 4000 series zen 3 most likely will be more expensive than zen 2. And thus also have to pay GST if order from Amazon/Overseas.

Hi all,

I'm working to build a Ryzen 3100 with the MSI B450i motherboard.

I noticed that Amazon.sg has those 8GBx2 DDR4 at much lower prices that Sim Lim.
Is it worth the risks?

Or should I just pick something safe from Sim Lim?

Thanks

Rams and SSD are pretty safe to buy from Amazon. Just make sure seller is Amazon or fulfilled by Amazon.

Even if something wrong n need RMA, return shipment is not expensive.

i’ve just bought a 32gb 3200mhz kit of crucial ballistix sport LT from amazon.sg a few days ago for $220 to replace my 16gb 3200mhz corsair vengeance lpx and it must say it’s worth every single cent.

the corsair was a c16 kit with bad binned samsung b die and it could barely maintain 18-20-20-17-38 timings when overclocked to 3600mhz.

but for the new ballistix sport LT with micron e die i’ve just completed overnight memtest with it overclocked to 3733mhz at 16-16-19-16-36 with 0 errors.

Haha, i went in to select the cheapest one and noted that they are offered by some company from China. That is for the RAM and SSD. But then again, this is not surprising as the devices are made there.

The DDR4 are really cheap.

And the SSD is good price for the model.

Does it mean that these are questionable?

I don't intend to overclock. I just want stable performance.
So if the parts can do XMP at the rate 3200MHz, I'm good.

pay attention to the seller. If you see those random stacked alphabets most likely is bogus

Do most of you use the stock cooler included with the Zen2?

What are the good aftermarket coolers with a budget of $100 or below for just normal overclocking?

Currently considering maybe the Noctua NH-U14S.
