Use won't spoil.

Still got people use 5w40?

Then use what ? Most now I think use 5w30 .. but as car ages , some switch to the thicker oil to protect the engine seals.

You can google more.

But higher end turbo cars use even thicker oils ..

Different engine oils are used for different purpose.

Simple engine use the common 5w40 no issue? Will spoil? Fuel comsumption? I used my shell 5w40 shell for many years even my engine can use 5w30.

newer "economy" engine uses 0w20, or 0w30 if 20w oil cannot be obtained

The number in front doesn’t matter in Singspore when it is summer all year round.

Is just another EO blended in SG. Got it into my ride last month. $33.30 servicing.
ya, quite cheap for this EO. but finally i choose castrol:s21:. But will try this for next service. Maybe When reach 8k Then go to change EO. not dare till 10k
