From AXA Direct, comes with extra 50% coverage for first 3 years. Premium already includes 20% perpeptual discount.

Better to add on ECI if it is of a concern

ANB 33F
1) $1mil Death/TPD
Till age 70 @ $793.60/year

2) $1mil Death/TPD, $250k ECI
Till age 70 @ $2066.10/year

ANB 35M
1) $1mil Death/TPD
Till age 70 @ $1390/year

2) $1mil Death/TPD, $250k ECI
Till age 70 @ $2562.50/year

Good to get it under the the mindef for its premium!

But for newborn, normally would suggest getting a wholelife instead as overall, the premium would be in your favour in the long run

I will only recommend wholelife for newborn, totally dont recommend term for newborn. A stepping stone for them. They can increase coverage at milestones such at married, buy new house, graduation etc.

Being said that, u did not mentioned anything about your hospital plan and also nv mentioned about having disability income insurance.

Whole life will be more "value for money" in the long run, as it is cheap for newborn and only need to pay for 20/25 years. By the time your daughter finishes uni, she can also decide if she wants to surrender for the cash value, as it would have already been paid finish/finishing soon, with quite a good cash value. Most of my clients who have an whole life bought for them by their parents, usually surrender because their cash value is very good, and then get a term (because they are looking to boost their coverage as well).

Term plan is cheap, but will have to continue paying for it. It can be add-on at a later stage in life to boost her coverage (by herself or you)

You will have to decide which one fits your priority more

Hello advisers, I notice there is not a lot of interest in prudential's multipay ci plans.

Maybe anyone can point out roughly the reason why pru's plan is not as popular or what tradeoffs make it not as popular? Thanks

The brochure quite clear cut. Covers up to 300%. Means 3 illnesses.
No extra payout for late stages, No recurring cancer etc. premium is higher also if not wrong.

Ok

Will quote u 1m also.
1m might be cheaper
Premium is before 5% perpetual discount

900k death/tpd, 150k multipay - $2839.80/year
900k death/tpd, 200k multipay - $3381.80/year
1m death/tpd, 150k multipay - $2772.90/year
1m death/tpd, 200k multipay - $3314.90/year

With 1m base its cheaper. Due to large sum discount.
Higher coverage but cheaper premium. No reason to go for 900k.
