Previously has seen a specialist in snec as well as some other eye specialists under my co insurance list of specialist, but none unable to provide me any definite answer to what's wrong with my eyes. Things has not improve since then. Does anyone has any good eye specialist to recommend?

Previous doctor says the condition may be due to degenerative issue even though symptoms seems like presbyopia. No clear diagnosis of the condition. My vision gets poorer relatively fast and lately, I noticed when I stare into wall for a very short moment I see a dark shadow. After I blink and look away it went away.

If you're near Camden, try Dr Steve Seah. He also does surgical treatments in case that's what you're looking for :)

If degenerative issue, is it AMD (Age-Related Macular Degeneration)?
What tests have you done with your previous doctor, & what was the prognosis?

Maybe you should get a specialist who has experience in AMD, if it is what you have. Usually will be referred to retina surgeons, for AMD. Try TTSH, SNEC where they will direct you to the right specialists.

If it is AMD, nothing you can do...
From what you are describing, it is a case of dry eyes... Long hours on screen and lesser blinks will cause this. Of course this isn't a proper medical diagnosis.

The previous doctors did not mention if it's AMD. She/he just said it's probably eye degeneration. Which is why it is frustrating not being able to have a clear prognosis to the problems I am experiencing.. Right now, I am looking into seeing a retina specialist. Hopefully, someone can give me an answer to what is the real problem with my eyes.

For Retina Specialist you can see Dr. Stephen Teoh or Dr. Jacob Cheng at Eagle Eye Centre @ Mount Alvernia.

Sometimes floaters are due to Vitreous Degeneration, will usually be given RD advice, to monitor and lubricate.

Hi there,

Can an eye specialist diagnose what is wrong with visual disturbance or light sensitivity.
I got eye strain and headache when I stare at LCD for long period of time. Or when play computer game.

I have been seeing eye specialist for a while at snec. They have various equipment there.

To get subsidised healthcare, go through polyclinic and get referral.
Do not go gp and get referral, u will be categorised as private patient.
