Have been looking around at this set, seems like the price is currently controlled at $3,699 with free 32" TV. Missed the offer in July, hope after the current promotion ends in early October, price will fall below $3k again.

Price looks good...........any drawback ? Looks good enough for gaming as it has HDMI 2.1

It's also a different panel... the 82" is the value price point..
And it's hard to get the Sony and the LG side by side for comparison..

Oh thanks.. i didnt know they are different panel.
In HN, the LG 86UN8100 is just adjacent to the Sony 85X9000H, so actually can compare if we really want LOL

Guess the 82" is the most value current.. really tempting :D

Update:
Seems like this model is OOS until Oct/Nov.... got money also cannot get (for now) :D

Contacted quite a few sales person from the major stores and only 1 has ready stock and basically hasslefree and dont even need to get the 32" 'free' TV that comes with it.

Will share more once the deal is sealed or you can pm me separately for the price i'm getting.

Finally found a website that breaks down the 75/82/86 inch differences;

Thanks for the link. Seems like only 82 is VN whereas the 75 and 86 are IPS. Time to read up on the pros and cons of each.
