Clubsnap use to be very active in the early 2000s. You see now very little update, to the extend no point posting. Similiary there's little update here.

Before 2010, most general/normal users have a dedicated camera (be it DSLR or PNS). Fast foward, more from these grp switching to mobile phone.

On the other hand, over go to mobile community grp theres active discussion on (mobile) camera.

General trend moving foward is decidated camera will be more expensive (with Canon R5/6 setting the benchmark). As such, only ppl earning a living out of it or serious hobbyist will remain.

I think most switch to facebook groups (either my photography genre or the brand of camera). Myself is inside Fujilfilm ClubX

This is how i see it.

Facegroups grps are special interest group. For example, you own said a honda vezel, you create or join special grp for owners or potential owners.

Forum serve a wider target audience. For example, this hardwarezone forum. So lets go back to clubsnap forum; it use to be very active cause there's enough target audiences from the general public.

Fast foward, there's not enough general/casual users now to sustain. Those remaining shift to other platform for example facebook grp you talking about to keep it relevant.

Wah ... you got one, good for you !
If I don't manage to get the Nikon, I will go for Minolta X700.

I don't have a specific place.
I have one or two rolls of negatives somewhere which I just added into the shopping cart out of convenience when I bought something else !
