that's because I've received an email on 28/06 that says to allow 10 days for delivery and now it's already 6 days. never received a call so far and wondered why it takes so long?

I like Hitachi, have heard plenty of good things about them.

I can tell you what I hate also. Toshiba 2.5" hdd's. My friend has replaced his 3 times already. Another one had his hdd replaced after 10 months of use. Mine failed after 1.5 years of use, luckily Fujitsu replaced it with a Hitachi.

Is there any difference in the buffer??

I am looking for at least 250GB IDE hardisk for my old MB.

Hitachi 250GB / 8M
Maxtor 250GB / 16M
Segate 250GB /8M
WD 250GB / 16M
