ya, RMA for Seagate hdd is like very lack of info.
Usually try the online RMA, as it'll show all information.
Just last month i RMA my old 250gb hdd. near to it's 5th year warranty.
The hdd had been RMA once thru Achieva, and warranty stated on the reciept is april 2010.
Called Achieva, they said they no longer RMA seagate, but can do it for me. Waiting time could be up to 1 month. So the lady gave me a Seagate number to call for a more direct RMA....
Called that number, no one answered.
Then i tried to do Seagate online RMA, it prompt can't find product.
Was thinking maybe my warranty had been extended after that 1st RMA by Achieva or something...

Anyway, just brought the hdd to Achieva as it's more convinient for me.
Only took them 3 days to get back to me for collection. Happy.
Even more happy, got back a 500gb repaired hdd. same model of my other 500gb seagate.
Warranty not stated on new reciept, and also forgot to ask. Went back to check online warranty.
2 year warranty extend. Maybe due to it's a repaired one. - Lagi happy
