Owww Pentium D is an inefficient, hot and power guzzling chip clearly murdered by the E2xxx and A64 X2 4xxx (and those have gone the way of the dinosaur) so even if u get a decent GPU there is bottlenecking issues, etc

bro batuchka, if i change the chip, can recommend which chip as well as GPU? I see my motherboard supports the following chips below:-

Intel Pentium 4, Intel Celeron D, Intel Pentium D, Intel Core2 Duo, Intel Core2 Extreme, Intel Pentium Extreme Edition

If just 2 monitors can actually make do with at least HD 3200 IGP if 3 add in a HD 3450 :p

Sapphire HD5670 - $149, for HD movies 720p, 1080p and light gaming on medium settings possible, depending on your "teammates" CPU and RAM

Your gaming needs dun seem intense and more for movies, etc so a low power but still decent GPU would serve u well

Hi Bros,

I am looking to buy a new VGA card as my GT8500 had died.

Comp spec as followed.

E7400 / 2 x 2GB 667
ASUS P5SD2-VM
Cooler Master 500W
LG W2261VP

Budget - $100-250, Hopping can be as little as possible due to money constraint.
Mainly use for some gaming purpose.

Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you very much :)
