I actually stayed 3 months in HKG for work...about 15 years ago..
My intention was a short holiday with wife to check out Shenzhen and Macau..HKG came in as Tigers fare there is great--- cheaper than going straight to Macau or Shenzhen

Guess more interested in casino, eating and shopping plus spa,massage.Disneyland and Ocean Park not a must. Macau 3 stars hotel at below Sgd $100 also acceptable, preferr near the casino strip.

Oh really? How much is it to HK? DId you take in the 1hour time consumption on ferry to Macau & the ferry cost?

I would recommend Metropark hotel about MOP500 which has excellent location with some small eateries nearing it. Is near to various Casino.

Macau shopping not very idea as the district is very small & nothing to fancy.

As for Shenzhen, 深圳老地方酒店 深圳 罗湖区 东门南路1033号is a 3 star hotel but i feel is clean & good. Is about RMB300. Is near to everywhere especially for your wife who can shop in 东门 ( like Bugis)

Massage should be done in Shenzhen as it is cheaper there.
Alternatively, you may wana do massage in Zhuhai which is just across the border of Macau. There is big shopping mall 拱北 in Zhuhai just next to the custom. Abit similar to Far East Plaza.

I still have macau dollar hoping to change back to sgd.

Most of them i ask do not do that.

You may try a Hotel In Taipa. Something Western Hotel Taipa I think
Big room can accomodate 3 big beds. May cost about 1000MOP/nite

Yes, Metropark is rather convenient with free shuttle to ferry terminal.
Rate is about 450MOP. Alot of eateries around the hotel.
Room is clean but no free internet which is a practice in most Macau hotels

Temp is super cold. It is about 8 degrees this morning with strong wind.
Ensure sufficient clothing.
Some flt delays or canceled too.

u can use both HKD & MOP... but do take note even stimes if u use HKD, u might get chnge bac in MOP or mixture.... they r not obliged 2 chnge u bac all in HKD cos stimes they might not even haf too much HKD.

SGD to MOP iirc is slightly higher only..... DONT keep any MOP when u leave Macau cos it is practically worthless. ya srs, spend it all...

obviously cant use in HK.... & money chngers ALOT dun accept in sg
