It's easy to see what to do after looking at chart. Should have, If i had, etc. There's emotion in you.

Have a system, stick to it. Don't imagine and wonder.

Imagine I long Hyflux at closing last Friday!

Assuming you got it at $13.70, it's still within your entry point!

You got it "cheaper" since it dropped from $13.90.

I just bought it at 13.36, According to my "target plan".

Dropped to 13.26. Just have to wait long term to reap profits (if you are a long term investor)

I got at $13.56.....when the counter slides 30+ cts. That's when the earthquake was announced.
Monday still quite ok.
Tuesday.....wah like lao sai.....it's ok....I got $ to buy in the lot.
I estimate wrongly again. :o

I am quite opposite, SIA is a good counter to short since February. I don't see any future in it this month yet.

Honestly sometimes we start to ask ourselves did we do a right or wrong judgement. Earthquakes and natural disasters don't show on TA charts. It just happen.

If you do the same tactic 10 times, you will get it right 7-8 times. The other 2-3 times occurs when something like this happens.

Natural disasters are not within our analytical mind. Anyone would be god, if he can predict when. =:p

Wah all waiting to earn 30-50cts from this correct?

Anyway I am looking at Venture or F&N now. :s22:
Venture, just cut loss this morning. Heart pain.

The dividend play can start anytime from TODAY!

For me, I won't long SIA in the near future. It's still good to short almost everyday. :D

i feel sia is a very dangerous stock. Anytime, dun say crash. Just wing break or passengers die will sent the stock down and SIA engineering also cannot escape. Moreover, the compeition is very competitive. Not that lucrative as you think. Last time SQ got so many freighter now still got a lot parking at the dessert.

I think if you want to take that approach, then every single share listed on the SGX, heck in all the world exchanges are also 'dangerous'.

Not that lucrative?? Based on what?? SIA has gross margin in the high 30s. That's comparable to a lot of manufacturing companies.

Our fren Windboi has an excellent article on his blog on SIA's fundamental.

I agree that competition is stiffed. And they are at the mercy of a lot of external factors like fuel price, outbreak of diasters, econmomic conditions etc.. but to suggest that SIA is a 'dangerous stock' for these reasons are shallow.
