If you are not planning to oc your cpu, is watercooling needed for your gpu and other parts. For example, a higher end gpu like the gtx580.
Does budget includes for monitor, speaker and peripherals?
Intend to OC?
hi,
is it possible to build a z68 sandy bridge setup with ard $500 +- $50?
only need to include mobo, cpu, ram and if possible a decent gpu for causal gaming.
why do you need a z68 setup? need SRT or Lucid Virtu?
not that familiar with intel setup, googled abit to find out z68 is like the latest so ask ard to see if it is possible.
if not necessary be z68, wat would u recommend?
Generally
H61 boards : 2 ram slots, no RAID support, able to support integrated graphics, no OC capabilities, NO USB 3/ Sata 3 (Some boards like AsRock H61/U3S3 has USB 3 & Sata 3 as AsRock put in a third-party controller)
H67 boards : 4 ram slots, with RAID support, able to support integrated graphics, no OC capabilities, has usb 3 & sata 3
P67 boards : 4 ram slots, with RAID support, unable to support integrated graphics, with OC capabilities, has usb 3 & sata 3
Z68 boards : 4 ram slots, with RAID support, able to support integrated graphics, with OC capabilities, has SRT, has Lucid Virtu, has usb 3 & sata 3
Sorry to ask. Perhaps can you also tell me your colour likings, preferred chassis location and want to crossfire/SLI?Hi Moneyface,
Budget is purely for CPU and components. Monitor/speakers/peripherals and software all taken care of. And I have no intention to OC. Thanks!
Sorry to ask. Perhaps can you also tell me your colour likings, preferred chassis location and want to crossfire/SLI?
Single-GPU solutionHi MF,
Umm preferred chassis color would be NZXT Phantom black color? chassis location is on the floor and I'm neutral on the crossfire/SLI. I understand crossfiring can result in higher performance for lower cards but also that the tech is still not fully utilized by some games.
Thanks!

Try starting your own thread, state the purpose in the title. Choosing parts for video encoding takes a bit of Q&A. Refer to this thread for an example:Hi,
