Hi Socrates,

Question.

Flight will be to auckland, maybe spend 2 days at there..

Then internal flight to Christchurch or queenstown better?

Thanks in advance:D

I did not go to Auckland so I cannot comment on it. I am sure that every place in NZ has its own beauty.

To me I would prefer to fly to Christchurch as it is more central and gives you better options to drive North and south of Christchurch whereas Queenstown is further south. How many days you intend to spend and where you want to go will also determine which is a better starting point. If you want to concentrate on the south areas then Queenstown might be better.

Sending to you my plan itineary.:)

Given a choice would it be better to spend two nights at Fox Glacier, Wanaka or Mt Cook (excluding Tekapo)?

I would vote Wanaka and Tekapo as Tekapo is very beautiful and its an ideal place to view starry night. (My panorama shot is lake tekapo)

Wanaka can do lots of activities.

Mt. Cook and Fox glacier no comment as i did not visit it but spend 2 nights in Franz Josef.

Thanks bro! I will be spending two nights at Tekapo. Just that I have an additional night which I'm thinking of spending in either Wanaka or Fox glacier. Both of which I have already planned for at least a night..

I had the same thoughts as you while planning. IMO I think that 1 night is enough at Tekapo (alhtough it is very beautiful) as there is not very much to do there and a night as well to climb fox glacier is enough as well.

More nights can be spent at Queenstown where there are lots to see and do and in the place itself and near by places. wanaka is near Queentown and I would rather make Queenstown my base and visit Wanaka, Aarowtown etc.

Anyone has recommendation for car rental besides Budget Car Rentals and Avis?

I checked Anzed which was recommended by a forumer here but they operate out of Christchurch and I intend to rent the car at Queenstown airport and return at Dunedin airport.

Would appreciate any recommendation. :)
