Okay, i got a very slight yellow tint issue also, tried internet browser new tab (pure white) with phone @ 40 degrees. Can see a "yellow bar" at very bottom of the screen.

Think i can afford to wait for later date then send in for replacement + ICS updates, since the issue is not a significant one. Been using the phone with less than 30% of max brightness, can't really see it.

Polarizer not properly done on both screen side edges and yellow tint is on the black areas of the notification bar

Now my issue is whether should I bear with that big patch of yellor at the bottom or buy a SIM card adaptor and use my Arc and be apart with Nozomi for a week and worse, having them wipe out the data in her =/

Using the phone and noticing the yellowy brownish patch is no fun either. It's an attention seeker!

One other thing is about personalization and configuration. Once sent in, it'll come back factory-reset. I have to start it all over again. I don't feel good to install apps and such while knowing the fact that I have to do it all over again after sending in.

It ain't childish. It's just cos we are lazy and find it troublesome. I have the same worries as yours too lol.

Correct me if I'm wrong but backing it up with PC Companion is very limited; it mainly includes contacts, calendar, etc, but does not cover a lot of other things like configuration settings, apps, etc.

You need root before you can use apps like MyBackup Pro / Titanium Backup to backup configuration settings, apps, etc.

the purpose of this survey is to check Sony's claim that this issue affects only a very small volume of units... (or should it be the other way around?).. the longer list on the users with yellow tint issues, the more better i feel towards listening to Michael Jackson's hit "You are not alone".. haha

rooted mine on the second day.. there are plenty of pre-rooted firmwares you can choose from. also got the SG-generic .73, which i am using now. the system is more flexible on doing more things than that of un-rooted ones.
