If i still keep the box, can i still find the required numbers from the boxx.
too lazy to remove the heatsink to find out the numbers.

This one i dunno:s13:

Intel use fedex, send there 1 day, send back 1 day, maybe 3-4 days lo.

Can someone advise me if this is the norm.
I've send my intel CPU for RMA thru our local reseller and I have yet to receive my CPU after 14 days.
Is this consider normal ? How long more do I have to wait.

Thanks for reply.
Reseller is one of the "Reputable" shop at SLS. Not gonna name the reseller as it is not my intention to blacklist them.
But will not be patronizing them in the near future.

Tried to do that. After answering a bunch of questions from Intel, they refuse to admit that the CPU was faulty and insist that I bring it back to the reseller for confirmation.

I had RMAed a perfectly ok CPU chip (but it was AMD) and they accept n give me a replacement chip within 5 working days.

It is really how you convinced them.

Tell them you use stock cooler n didn't do any overclocking.
You changed mobo, rams,......etc and yet still cannot boot the system.
So concluded cpu chip spoilt.

I hate to say this...but AMD RMA is much more straightforward.

Basically here's how it goes when i call intel :-
me : I want to RMA my cpu.
intel : What is wrong with the chip.
me : The PC randomly blue screen when I'm using it. Here's what I've done :-
1. Load default BIOS setting.
2. Switch the ram and try with a single piece.
3. Switch the mobo.
4. Switch the GPU.
5. Replace the DVD writer.
6. Install new Window OS.
(After a long pause) - Probably checking with the technical staff.
intel : Have you try updating the mobo BIOS ?
me : I don't see the need, as I have been using the PC over a year without issue.
(Another long pause)
intel : Have you try installing windows with another disc ?
me : When you purchase windows, do they give you a backup disc as well.
(Another long pause)
intel : Have you try using another PSU ?
me : (Getting angry) I am an end user. I do not fix computer for a living. I do not have another PSU to troubleshoot problem !!!
(Another long pause)
intel : We cannot confirm that the CPU is faulty. Maybe you sent it back to the reseller to confrim that the CPU was indeed faulty.
me : Thank you for wasting 1 hour of my time answering your stupid questions. Good Bye !!! (Just kidding - I only said goodbye cause by this time I was already boiling inside)

Thanks for the account....my experience with AMD wasn't like that.
I just apply an account n file my complaint.
The techsupport get back to me to asked me a few simple questions.
Next day.....they email me with instructions to mail back to defective cpu.
voila! 2 days later....a courier guy knock my door n pass me my new PIB.

Everything is thru email....

Anyway, I think you should had just answered yes to their enquiries.
Update BIOS yes....reinstall yes....change PSU yes.....
But don't answer yes if they ask you whether you use another cooler other than stock...or overclocking.

I think Mach3.2 had done up an impressive QnA in this thread.

Ah well.....thanks for contributing though......maybe you have to hound the reseller again.

Must i fill up the document on the same day or what?
Or they will send you the documents, then the courier will pick up a few days later?

The documents come you can take your time to fill up. After that, call Fedex and schedule a pick up.

Please advice if It is ok to use registered mail speed post or must I use DHL, Fedex or UPS?
