- Your rig : iPod Touch 5G
- What type of usage : Music.
- Genre of music you listen to : I prefer an all rounder with a lil bass.
- Headphone / earphone type : In ear style
- Other requirements : I now own a SE215. Got sick of its lack of portability due to long cables. I want something similar (Not better, but just around there) to se215 & prefer cables that do not tangle or coil up. No Ajays please. They are uncomfortable for my ears
- Budget : Less than $200

Yamaha EPH-100? Comfy, bassy, smooth, all around a better earphone than SE215 for $21 less

That was long ago :s13:

Katong's DG Lifestyle. I'm already trying to sell them to help fund my V-Moda M100 purchase though.. Gonna have to deal with headphone hair again..

hmm... Rockitsounds R-50 or UE700?
though probably you will find it bass light coming from the se215

Dunus are nice to keep though, the rubber thingy to help you tie almost everytime ensures the earphone to be tangle free

No soundcard
Basic PC with HD 5770 graphics card

Maybe you can get a DAC/amp combo or a soundcard first. Otherwise there will be a lot of interference in the sound that will make earphone upgrades appear insignificant.

Is the AKG K550 a worthy upgrade from ATH-M50?

I like the sound of the M50, but would like to try something new once in a while. Wondering if the K550 will give a noticeable improvement before I take out my wallet.
